Job Requirements:

--- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
--- Current Arizona Teaching Certificate
--- Valid Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance card
--- Special Ed Certification

Job Responsibilities:

--- Establish a positive classroom environment conducive to effective instruction and learning
--- Provide learning experiences correlated with approved curriculum and State and District standards
--- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of each pupil
--- Communicate learning goals to students in a well-planned, organized manner using clear and precise language
--- Facilitate small and large group instruction based on current research-based best practices
--- Use available technology to enhance learning
--- Evaluate student growth
--- Maintain accurate and complete records as required by State/Federal law and District policy
--- Establish oral and/or written lines of communication with guardians to discuss pupil progress
--- Participate in team reviews concerning academic progress of low performing/at-risk students
--- Use site, District, and State assessment data to drive instruction and place students in appropriate instructional and/or intervention programs
--- Effectively implement Individual Education Plans
--- Assume responsibility for the supervision of students on school property or in attendance at school-sponsored activities
--- Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
--- Participate in school-wide events, scheduled meetings, and conferences with guardians
--- Participate in school and District initiatives
--- Maintain professional competence through participation in District provided professional development sessions and/or self-selected professional growth activities
--- Perform other duties as assigned by the District or school site

Physical Requirements:
