  Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a--Travel RN - Labor & Delivery Shift: Nights, 6p-6a, 12x3, 36hrs per week Length: 13 weeks3 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule minimum. Some like to work all weekends and others don't like to work them at all. As long as it's covered, it really doesn't matter to me.Call: one shift per 4 week schedule Requirements:
  • AZ License--
  • 3+ years of experience required
  • C-section experience required
  • Must be proficient in fetal monitoring and the actions taken for fetal distress.
  • Must be able to care for patients with pre-eclampsia
  • Clinical background in high risk patients. Since there is NOT an in-house OB, so the nurses need to be very proficient with their assessment skills and be able to handle OB emergencies until the provider arrives.
  • Must be able to function in L&D and couplet care (they don't always utilize their LDRPs as couplet care beds, but can do so if census is low).
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • Intermediate or advanced Fetal Monitoring required Other Details:

    • May float to ED or MS if experienced
    • # of beds:--7 L&D beds,--2 Triage beds,--10 Postpartum beds,--1-3 births per day,--830 births per year
    • Ratios typically 1:2
