qualified Med/Surg RN in Phoenix, Arizona, 85013 About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: MS Tele Oncology
(Telemetry) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Guaranteed Hours:
36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License:
Valid Registered Nurse license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS
(Chemo certification a plus) Must-Have: LEVEL I TRAUMA EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED Job Description: - Orientation includes 12 hours with
additional focus on Foley catheter insertion and central line
dressing changes. - Complete SIMs Lab for nursing skills;
maintaining sterile field is critical. - Additional educational
sessions include lifts, restraints, and wound care. - Work in
Oncology Acute Telemetry, Tower 6 with 32 beds. - Patient ratio is
1:4. - Use Cerner electronic medical record systems. - Participate
in light patient assignments as Charge Nurse with Oncology resource
RN support. - Support staff includes 2 Patient Care Technicians
(PCTs) for both day and night shifts. - Required to work at least 1
weekend per month and participate in holiday rotation. - Wear navy
scrubs during shifts. - Responsible for interpreting EKG using
Phillips telemetry. - Administer care involving Bipap and Cpap
equipment. - Utilize SWAT RN for challenging IV insertions. -
Collaborate with available 24/7 Respiratory Therapist and Pharmacy
services. - Work shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with potential floating
to other MedSurg/Telemetry units. - Initial floor-specific
orientation lasts 2 days. - Patients are primarily oncology (85%)
with remaining in telemetry and med-surg categories. - Cancellation
policy allows hospital to cancel up to 3 times per contract,
