    • Minimum of 1 year in MedSurg, prefer candidates with experience in telemetry.
    • Must be willing to care for both MST/PCU patients.
    • Dysrhythmia exam on hire.
      • Schedule Information
      • 12-hour shifts, 0700/1900 - 1930/0730
      • Every other weekend, Friday and Saturday for Nights, Saturday and Sunday for dayshift.
      • Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly.
      • If low census, staff rotates standby turns.

        • Unit Details: MST/PCU (Med Surg Tele/PCU)
          • Additional Details
          • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
          • Unit MST/ PCU (Med Surg Tele/PCU)
          • # of beds: 30 (three 10-bed units)
          • Ratios: 1:5-6
          • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Surgical: total hip & knee replacement, small bowel resection, Hysterectomy, exploratory lap.; Medical: MRSA, C-diff infections, suicide attempt, drug or Alcohol withdrawal, COPD, pneumonia, COVID; Telemetry: chest pain
          • Experience or 'Must have' skills: Will need to be able to read and interpret telemetry. May be asked to precept nursing students.
          • Charge RN manages 50 inpatient beds that include MST, PEDS, & our Acuity Adaptable MCU unit which admits ICU/PCU/MST.
          • NAs take 10-15 patients. If no NA RN takes 3 patients and Provides primary care.
          • Care for stable c-pap or bi-pap patients.
          • Yes. We have Remote Monitor Techs. RNs do need to be able to Read their Tele strips.
          • Floating Requirements: Float into our Multi Care Unit & Pediatric unit to care for adult MST, also float to our West Campus MedSurg Tele.
          • Currently can wear any scrub color except camouflage.
          • Attend hospital orientation, unit orientation based on experience. Must be willing to precept nursing students.
