RN Inpatient Wound Care PRN Days Position Summary
The Inpatient Wound Care Nurse is responsible for providing
specialized nursing care to patients with wounds, ensuring they
receive evidence-based treatment and continuous monitoring to
promote healing. This role involves assessing, planning,
implementing, and evaluating wound care for patients with complex
needs, including but not limited to pressure ulcers, diabetic
ulcers, surgical wounds, and other types of skin integrity issues.
The nurse collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop
personalized care plans, educates patients and families on wound
care techniques, and advocates for the highest standards of wound
management.
Special Skills Needed:
THE RN INPATIENT WOUND CARE PRN DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE
FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing
school
PREFERRED EDUCATION: BSN
Wound Care: Wound-Ostomy Certification or Training in Wound Care
and/or Ostomy Care.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: OR: ACLS
