Job Summary: Medical Laboratory Technician required to perform waived and non-waived tests in a laboratory setting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Perform testing in an accurate and timely manner, utilizing knowledge and skills to identify appropriate resources and resolve routine operational and technical problems.
  
• Recognize and ensure validity of abnormal patient and/or QC results, ensuring accuracy of test results and promoting quality.
  
• Ensure efficient utilization of reagents and supplies, identifying opportunities for improvements in financial performance.
  
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, promoting positive communications that enhance teamwork.
  
• Process and prepare patient samples, ensuring correct patient and specimen identification and specimen integrity.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or equivalent laboratory training and experience.
    
  • MLT certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB) and basic knowledge of specimen requirements and medical terminology.
    
  • Previous experience with phlebotomy and processing, with demonstrated competency in phlebotomy.
